In the Llanganuco valley there is a beautiful lake located at 4600 meters at the foothills of Nevado Chacraraju, one of the most beautiful and most difficult to climb in the Cordillera Blanca mountains. On the way to the lake you can find a variety of flora and waterfalls.
How to get there
Starting from Montaña Jazz you can go to Yungay and then to the Llanganuco gorge , passing the lakes Orconcocha Chinancocha where you will reach a place called Cebollapampa.
From there you will find a split and after a 3 hour walk of medium difficulty you reach Lake 69 where you can rest for an hour admiring the beautiful scenery before returning to Cebollapampa.
Several companies offer in Huaraz touristic packages, guided walks and mobility, we recommend Andean Kingdom, Infinite Adventures, and independent guide Liz Duran.
